    SUMMARY: Sets up and adjusts machine tools for plastic injection molding
    machines for other operators by performing the following duties.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other
    duties may be assigned by plant leadership, engineering, or supervision.

    1. Reads blueprint, bill of materials (BOM) or job order for product
    specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions, and
    materials.

    2. Must have sound knowledge of dryers, blenders and granulators.

    3. Installs and adjusts holding device and fastens specified molding tools in position
    to enable operator to produce finished work piece to specifications.

    4. Selects and sets speed and feed of machine according to type of operation
    and specified material and finish.

    5. Starts machine to obtain first run work piece and verifies dimensional
    tolerances through gaging and First Article Inspection.

    6. Must be able to assist with process problems that may arise which include
    but are not limited to cycle optimization.

    7. Instructs operators or other workers in machine setup and operation.

    8. Sets up machines and equipment other than machine tools.

    9. Advanced processing knowledge of both toilet seat machines and component
    machines.

    10. As a Set-Up III, the person must maintain a proficient knowledge
    of both the set-up of Toilet Seat machines or Component machines.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    Computer Skills:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have
    knowledge of SAP manufacturing software.
    Language Skills:
    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
    operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write
    routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before
    employees of the organization.
    Mathematical Skills:
    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages,
    area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and
    geometry.

    While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly
    required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is
    frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and
    stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move
    up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally
    lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this
    job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust
    focus.
    Reasoning Ability
    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of
    concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
    Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral,
    diagram, or schedule form.
    Other Skills and Abilities:
    Good Knowledge of plastics resins such as ABS, PP, PE, Nylon,
    Acrylics, Gfyn, Acetal, Isoplast, Noral, Dynaflex, Santopreame and PVC.
    Basic hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
    Liquid Color experience a plus.
    Must have experience with robots and sprue pickers.

    While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly
    exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet
    and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles;
    risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment
    is usually moderate.

    Education and/or Experience
    A Certificate from two-year College or technical school; or
    eighteen months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination
    of education and experience.
    In this position, the associate must complete scientific molding
    training within one year of assignment to this position.
    The associate must participate on a minimum of one Kohler
    Operating System Workshop per year.
    The associate must obtain KOS Yellow belt Certification within one
    year of being appointed to the position.
