    Piping Engineer - Ogden, UT

    6-12 month contract

    Pay Rate: $65+ per hour, based on experience level

    Position Summary

    • Essential duties include the locating and designing supports for various piping systems and performing associated calculations using GT Strudl.
    • Candidate should be familiar with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3.
    • Will work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design.
    • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required.

    Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

    • Locating and performing pipe support design, originating related calculations using GTStrudl in accordance with DoD UFC standards, AISC & ASME B31.3 or applicable codes as applicable.
    • Application of typical pipe supports and/or review/approval of layouts/isometrics as required.
    • Candidate should possess a knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and piping codes.
    • Software applications to be used are GTStrudl for engineer pipe support frame analysis.

    Basic Qualifications

    • US citizenship is required per contract requirement.
    • This role requires a facility-specific clearance that requires U.S. Citizenship.
    • Possess active security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Ability to review/approve piping layouts & support requirements per DoD standards/ASME B31.3.
    • Hands-on experience using a stress analysis program.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous DoD project experience.
    • Hands-on experience using a structural frame analysis program.
    • PE Registration.

    Pipe Support Engineer - Ogden, UT

    • Candidate should be familiar with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3.

    Responsibilities

    • Work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress and other support engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design.
    • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required.
    • Prior experience should include working in a 3D model environment.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Level 1: Bachelors degree in engineering with 1 year of related experience.
    • Level 2: Bachelors degree in engineering with 3 years of related experience.
    • US citizenship is required per contract requirement.
    • Possess active security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Good knowledge of AISC and ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry codes and standards.
    • Prior experience using structural analysis programs.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • EIT certification or PE registration.
    • Prior experience using pipe support analysis programs GT STRUDL.
    • Prior experience using Pipe Support Modeling software.
    • Previous DOD/DOE project experience.
