Portfolio Controller

A quickly growing management company is looking for a Portfolio Controller to join their growing team. Hybrid schedule, annual bonus, and benefits A great opportunity for an established Portfolio Controller or a Senior Property Accountant looking to take the next step.

Essential functions:

• Maintain integrity of financial information for assigned portfolio in compliance with GAAP
• Oversee all aspects of client accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, inventory management, and financial reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensuring quality control for financial reporting and transactions
• Prepare and monitor budget and forecast activities
• Track receivables, obligations, and risks
• Been a team lead

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or related discipline) required; MBA preferred
• CPA or CPA Candidate
• 4+ years of accounting experience required; ideally public accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX
• Knowledge of Yardi is a major plus
