    Department Summary
    The Registrar's Office provides support services to students, faculty, staff and other constituents in the areas of academic advising support programs, course scheduling, enrollment, degree verification, transfer articulation, test credit, athletic certification and maintenance of student academic records, as well as handles state and federal reporting.     Position Overview
    The Registrar Specialist's primary focus is to assist with customer service in the registration area, including email correspondence, phone assistance, meeting with students, and providing interpretation of academic policies and procedures to faculty, staff, and students.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Associate's Degree and one year of office administration experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.



    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


    • Skill in telephone etiquette and courteous communication with public, verbally and in writing.

    • Ability to evaluate facts or situation to route calls/customers appropriately.

    • Strong customer service skills.

    • Basic MS Office skills.

    • Skill in the operation of a variety of office machines including, personal computers, telephones and copiers, filing and recordkeeping, English composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation and basic math.

    • Knowledge of standard office policies and procedures.

    Job Duties



    o
    Assists with student services during registration periods.

    o
    Utilizes Perceptive Content (imaging system) workflow for records the Registrar is required to maintain.

    o
    Processes audit class rolls for student attendance.

    o
    Assists in the coordination of the storage and retention of current and out of date report materials and meningitis vaccine requirements. Manages the processing of and dissemination of the meningitis vaccine requirements.

    o
    Promotes an inclusive environment within the unit, supports existing University programs, and completes special assignments, tasks, and projects as directed.

    o
    Completes all required training as assigned.
