    Elementary Inclusion Special Education Jobs for School Year in Greenwood, SC

    • Location: Greenwood, SC
    • Term: School Year
    • Pay: $34 per hour- negotiable with experience

    Are you an experienced and passionate Special Education Teacher seeking a rewarding opportunity to work with elementary students in an inclusive classroom setting? Join our team in Greenwood, SC, for the school year and make a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with general education teachers to co-plan and co-teach inclusive lessons that meet the needs of students with disabilities in the general education classroom.
    • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring that accommodations and modifications are provided to support their academic and social-emotional growth.
    • Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities, utilizing evidence-based instructional strategies and differentiation techniques.
    • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
    • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction and interventions as needed to address individual learning goals.
    • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians, colleagues, and support staff to ensure a collaborative approach to student support and achievement.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
    • Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification).
    • Previous experience working with elementary students with disabilities, preferably in an inclusive classroom setting.
    • Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
