    Principal Accountabilities

    • Ability to interpret work instructions, create plans, and effectively communicate ideas and concerns to colleagues, maintenance staff, and supervisors
    • Performing calculations involving weight units (pounds, kilograms), percentages, or fractions
    • Ensure parts' dimensions and clearances conform to specifications by using precision measuring tools
    • Conducting preventive, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance across the facility and maintaining proper documentation
    • Installing, testing, evaluating, and fixing various mechanical components and systems
    • Utilize a site-specific CMMS (Computerized maintenance management system)
    • Operating standard maintenance tools like power, electric, precision maintenance, and preventive maintenance technology tools
    • Work on maintenance trades and components such as welding, pipefitting, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
    • Understanding mechanical schematics, blueprints, and operation manuals
    • Regular interaction with external vendors, peers, and management to enhance facility operations and foster teamwork
    • Operating various mobile equipment such as forklifts, loaders, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts
    • Adhering to all safety regulations and rules
    • Other assigned duties

    Required Qualifications

    • Authorized to work in the United Sates without visa sponsorship
    • Minimum age requirement of 18 years to work in a production facility at Cargill
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • Proficiency in or willingness to learn computer software programs like Microsoft Office and Maintenance software such as SAP or Maximo
    • Capability to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting up to 55lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
    • Willingness to work overtime, holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts with advance notice
    • Proficiency in English communication (verbal/written)
    • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
    • Comfort working in elevated areas and confined spaces

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 2 years technical degree in industrial mechanical discipline
    • 3 or more years of maintenance experience
    • Experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement, including Lean Six Sigma
    • Background in the food and beverage industry
    • Familiarity with HVAC equipment including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, and air compressors
    • Experience in a production environment
    • Knowledge of cutting and welding
    • Proficiency in utilizing a site-related CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)
    • Maintenance experience using precision instrumentation such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, laser alignment tools, sheave alignment tools
