    Job Overview:
    We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Technology Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, a strong background in computer science or related fields, and the ability to inspire students to explore and engage with technology in meaningful ways. As a Technology Teacher at our charter school, you will play a vital role in developing students' digital literacy skills, fostering creativity and innovation, and preparing them for future academic and career opportunities.

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Design and deliver engaging and relevant technology curriculum aligned with standards and school objectives, incorporating hands-on projects, activities, and multimedia presentations.
    • Teach students fundamental concepts in computer science, digital citizenship, information technology, and emerging technologies, fostering problem-solving skills and computational thinking.
    • Integrate technology across the curriculum to enhance student learning and facilitate interdisciplinary connections, collaborating with classroom teachers to support technology-enhanced instruction.
    • Provide instruction and support in the use of hardware, software, and digital tools, including but not limited to computers, tablets, coding platforms, multimedia applications, and productivity software.
    • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students feel encouraged to explore, experiment, and take risks with technology, regardless of their prior experience or background.
    • Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to students and adjusting instruction as needed to meet their individual needs.
    • Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and collaboration in the classroom, encouraging students to work together on projects, share ideas, and problem-solve collaboratively.
    • Stay current on developments in educational technology, trends in digital literacy, and best practices in technology integration through professional development, networking, and ongoing learning.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement school-wide technology initiatives, such as digital citizenship programs, robotics clubs, or STEM events.
    • Communicate regularly with students, parents/guardians, and school administrators regarding student progress, achievements, and opportunities for growth in technology education.
    Essential Knowledge:
    • Proficiency in a variety of technology tools and platforms.
    • Strong pedagogical skills and ability to design and implement engaging and interactive lessons that promote student learning and achievement.
    Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Education, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
    • Valid teaching certification/license in North Carolina preferred.
    • Previous teaching experience, preferably in a charter school or diverse educational setting.
