Will work to coordinate and plan the workload for each part and machine so that manpower is accounted for and can be planned properly.
They will coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure all parts are ordered correctly to ensure efficiency is maintained and projects remain on schedule.
The primary role is taking on planning for the production of manufacturing wastewater equipment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following outlines essential responsibilities, subject to adjustments as the Manufacturing Facility expands:
Collaborate with skilled trades Supervisors, Purchasing Manager, and Production Planner to plan resources for optimal production output.
Monitor and adjust planned vs. actual production times regularly.
Utilize the ERP system to input parts into projects, ensuring accurate and timely shipment.
Timely communication of production issues affecting quality, delivery, or customer requirements.
Attend project handover meetings to review project scope, installation drawings, and pricing with Project Managers, Applications Engineers, and others.
Enter preplanning times for activities related to project-specific manufactured parts.
Classify manufacturing drawings by part type and thickness.
Process parts in the ERP system, associating planned times with each part and activity.
Set up loose shipping of parts in the ERP system.
Address material issues as they arise.
Adjust delivery dates according to CRP (Capacity Resource Planning) to balance manpower.
Provide estimated lead times and prices for manufactured parts to other departments as needed.
Actively participate in team efforts to suggest and implement continuous improvement activities, enhancing operational quality and delivery standards.
Engage in ongoing training and development.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
High level computer skills (using keyboard shortcuts efficiently, can type +60 wpm, etc.)
Person should have experience in Production or Operations Planning, be deadline-oriented, able to time manage with a sense of urgency, and understand inventory control and data entry in ERP system.
Preferred Education and Experience
Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mechanical equipment
Equipment Manufacturing background a plus
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
High Level Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems experience
