Job Description for Manufacturing Plant Manager
NPC Global is a distribution company in Hazleton, PA looking to add a Manufacturing Plant Manager to our expanding team
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
Oversee day-to-day company operations on a 24/6 schedule which includes, production, warehousing, safety, engineering, and planning departments.
Additionally, the Manufacturing Plant Manager will Interface with the Divisional Purchasing Department to coordinate material requirements for all production operations until such a time that an independent Purchasing Manager for the operations is required
Define, implement, and monitor the operation's strategy, structure and processes that provide visibility into standards, goals, progress, and obstacles for key initiatives for all departments and to all employees
Build and maintain a cross functional team with all department heads, to make decisions regarding operational activities and strategic goals are met
Coordinate and conduct inter-departmental meetings to review progress against key initiatives.,
Build and maintain positive relationships with external partners, and vendors to insure effective and efficient productivity that will deliver on-time performance to customers in the most cost-effective way to the operation of the company.
This includes but is not limited to, equipment, material, and service providersCoordinate and monitor training requirements for all aspects of the various facility operations and employees
Plan, monitor, analyze and propose solutions for key metrics on the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks and alignment with production planning requirements
Devise strategies to ensure growth of programs; identifying and implementing process improvements and cost reduction methods that will maximize output and minimize costs
Uphold organization safety, policies, and standards, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other governmental regulations affecting the operations are followed.
Requirements
College degree preferred and/or 15+ years proven track record as a senior or executive leader within a consumer manufacturing industry with demonstrated successful project and budget management skills
Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles
Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvements
Excellent oral and written communications. Ability to interact with other "off-site" Corporate departments
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high -pressure environment
Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including customer service, production, planning facility operations and employee management
Foresight to propose additional changes to operations or new
equipment/modifications
to accelerate production performance
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions including meeting productivity standards
Ability to develop innovative solutions for increases productivity
Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, determined by previous professional success
Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics using business management software
