In addition to managing one of the largest thermal networks in downtown Vancouver, Canada, we offer innovative thermal neighborhood energy systems that benefit developers, landowners, and the wider community. Our projects focus on leveraging technologies like geo-exchange, ocean exchange, cogeneration, microgrids, solar PVs, and sewer heat recovery to promote sustainability and resiliency.
Having served customers for over 55 years with an impressive reliability rate of 99.99%, we are currently working on multiple low-carbon district energy systems across North America. One of our flagship projects is the transformation and decarbonization of the downtown Vancouver steam plant, a venture that will significantly contribute to the city's renewable energy infrastructure for years to come.
Position Overview:
As a crucial member of our Development team reporting to the Director, you will play a key role in advancing low-carbon district energy systems in new and existing buildings. You will collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and industry-leading consultants to implement innovative energy solutions that offer efficient heating and cooling to various facilities. Your responsibilities will include:
Qualifications and Experience Required:
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years of experience in technical design of hydronic heating and cooling HVAC systems for projects exceeding $5M. Ideal candidates will hold a degree or diploma in Engineering with a specialization in thermal energy or building design. Proficiency in energy/financial modeling and a strong interest in business development are also highly valued.
