    Job Title: IT Policy Director

    This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration.

    About the Role

    The primary purpose of this position is to direct the work of subordinate organizations and to provide technical guidance and supervisory oversight for a staff performing work that involves administering, developing, and supporting information technology (IT) systems and services. The paramount requirement for this role is knowledge of IT principles, concepts, and methods.

    Requirements

    To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

    SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

    For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

    • Federal Government technology policy promulgation processes, project and contracts management, and independent government cost estimate formulation and execution management;
    • Applying IT Principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices to provide guidance, technical advice, and recommendations to management on information technology policies and procedures.

    Competencies:

    • Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
    • Customer Service: Works with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
    • Oral Communication: Expresses information to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information; makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
    • Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

    In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:

    • For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14level for 52 weeks.

    Estimated Salary: $123,775 - $160,200 per year
