    Description
    The Payroll Manager will be responsible for managing and administering all aspects of the payroll and timekeeping functions.

    The candidate must understand principles of payroll processing, payroll taxes, company-wide timekeeping, be able work well with business partners and interact professionally with all employees.


    Specific Duties Include:

    • Process accurate & timely payroll
    • Perform production payroll tasks
    • Perform pre and post payroll audits
    • Analyze attendance data
    • Follow-up on missing and/or incorrect data
    • Understand and verify tax calculations
    • Knowledge with employee and employer payroll income tax
    • Understand and administer garnishment processing
    • Troubleshoot basic system issues
    • Independently trouble shoot all payroll related errors or problems
    • Develop custom reports utilizing Cognos
    • Document issues, resolutions and timing for all employee inquiries
    • Take ownership for managing all aspects of designated responsibilities
    • Communicate status/progress/future action items or recommendations to immediate manager
    • Provides other administrative support to Finance management including maintaining files and performs additional projects and assignments in support of Finance as required.
    • Operates as Plan Administrator if our 401(k) plan
    • Maintains ownership of and performs as the Subject Matter Expert on the Timekeeping module with the corporate Accounting Software (Costpoint TESS)
    • Maintains Payroll and Timekeeping staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
    • Maintains Payroll and Timekeeping staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
