    Responsibilities

    Whitney, Bailey, Cox & Magnani, LLC, now a division of TranSystems, is excited to announce we are seeking a Project Manager specializing in Asset Management Services. Primarily remote with onsite as needed.

    What you'll be challenged to do:

    Project Management:
    • Manage a portfolio of small- to medium-sized projects related to asset management activities.
    • Effectively manage project scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining strong client relationships.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structures (WBS), schedules, and estimates.
    • Monitor and manage project performance across all aspects, ensuring compliance with contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
    • Lead project teams from project initiation through closeout.
    • Delegate tasks effectively by providing technical guidance, direction, and oversight to support staff.
    • Ensure high-quality products are delivered on schedule and within budget.
    • Match skills to tasks by understating appropriate staff and experience levels for each task and assign to staff accordingly.
    • Ensure clear communication to team members by clearing informing them of the goals for the task at hand, methodology and processes to complete, schedule/due dates, and the available man-hour estimates for each assignment by resource.
    Asset Management Services:
    • Understanding of asset classes and a familiarity with specific types of assets being managed. This involves understanding what assets are owned, their location, condition, and remaining useful life.
    • Ability to determine the current and future value of assets to assist in making informed decisions about their use, maintenance, and replacement.
    • Understanding of financial concepts like risk management, valuation, and portfolio analysis to assist with informed decisions in asset management.
    • Familiarity with specific software tools used in asset management and implementing enterprise asset management systems.
    Communication and Collaboration:
    • Communicate frequently and directly with clients, keeping them informed of project progress and addressing any concerns.
    • Collaborate with business and systems analysts to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
    • Manage subconsultants involved in the projects.
    • Set and manage project expectations with stakeholders, including team members and clients.
    • Provide proactive and regular communication with leadership and supervisors for proposals, project reporting, invoicing, backlog and resource management.
    Quality and Standards:
    • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
    • Follow project management best practices and industry standards.
    Additional Responsibilities:
    • Prepare progress reports, review invoices, and other project documentation.
    • Update resource forecasts for assigned projects.
    • Review and validate invoices.
    • Mentor junior staff and participate in the hiring process (as applicable).
    • Supervise staff (when assigned) and provide performance feedback.
    • Operate independently and take initiative.
    Qualifications

    What you bring to our firm:
    • 6+ years of project management experience in asset management. (Transportation AM preferred)
    • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field, with a Master's degree preferred.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
    • Department of Transportation experience preferred.
    • Project Management Skills:
    • Proven ability to apply and follow project management principles (e.g., PMP).
    • Strong organizational, coordination, and file management skills.
    • Process-oriented and detail-oriented work style.
    • Focused and efficient time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality projects on schedule and within budget.
    • Skilled at organizing, prioritizing, and efficiently delivering multiple projects.
    • Knowledge of application and data management principles and concepts.
    • Ability to create data standards, determine business data requirements, and define business rules.
    • Experience with Enterprise Asset Management Systems (EAMS).
    • Experience in Asset Data Collection and Condition Assessments.
    • Experience utilizing ArcGIS Desktop/Pro, ArcGIS Online/AGOL (Esri suite).
    • Proficient in ArcGIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Proven client management skills.
    • Ability to understand and interpret client and regulatory requirements to ensure project success.
    • Collaborative and willing to learn from teammates at all levels.

    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (may be specific to role).
