    Vacation Relief Operator

    SHIFT: Monday - Friday, 10:30 pm to 7:00 am (Overtime may be necessary)

    SALARY: $27.0 per hour

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    This role is a crucial part of the Purina Animal Nutrition business, supporting local cooperatives, independent dealers, and major retailers in serving producers and animal owners across the USA. Through cutting-edge research and strong partnerships, we develop innovative nutrition products and techniques that maximize the potential of every animal for a healthier and more productive life.

    The Production Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting various manufacturing production equipment, such as machine tools, chemical processing, assembly, and packaging systems. Duties include:

    • Operating equipment to meet production specifications and quality standards
    • Handling raw materials and finished goods
    • Monitoring output quality and addressing faulty products
    • Keeping detailed production records for analysis
    • Performing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

    Key Responsibilities:

    This position mainly involves covering for employees on vacation, sick leave, or absent for other reasons. The employee is expected to learn at least 4 different production roles in the facility and may need to work alternative shifts if required.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Basic computer skills
    • At least 6 months of prior manufacturing experience

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Age: 18 years or older
    • Comprehension: Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
    • Critical Thinking: Analytical problem-solving skills
    • Safety: Prioritizing safety for oneself and colleagues
    • Time Management: Punctuality and adaptability
    • Coordination: Team collaboration and adaptability

    Physical Requirements for Production Roles:

    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
    • Frequent movements involving various physical tasks
    • Wearing personal protective equipment
    • Working in different temperature environments
    • Shift work including nights, weekends, and occasional overtime
