    Organization Overview
    The Purchasing Department is responsible for the cost-effective and expeditious procurement of goods and services to support the scientific and administrative endeavors of The Rockefeller University. The Rockefeller University Purchasing Department, along with the Receiving and Stockroom Departments, help ensure that the equipment, supply, and service needs of the University are accomplished in a professional manner that also adheres to all legal requirements and best business practices.
    Overview

    The Receiving/Stockroom Clerk is responsible for receiving and inspecting all University Orders related packages. They will also be responsible for processing all the stockroom requisitions based on sales orders, and rotation of stock items in the University Stockroom.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • Receiving oversight and inspection of PRO-related packages, and problem resolution of packages.
    • Stockroom sales order processing of items for end-user retrieval. Rotation of stockroom items.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications

    High School diploma or equivalent required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication, customer service skills, and clear and legible handwriting. Basic computer skills required. Must be able to lift 40 pounds and tolerate a significant amount of standing, bending, and walking. The ability to be flexible for multi-tasking between the receipt and supply center process is a plus.

    The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on various factors, including but not limited to organizational budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The hiring range provided represents The Rockefeller University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
