Outreach Education CoordinatorLuke's Health System in Boise, ID is seeking an Outreach Education Coordinator to join our Sports Medicine Concussion Clinic team.
Unit/Position Summary Outreach Education Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the Concussion Clinic's participation in various educational activities including community events, presentations to school athletic teams, youth sports organizations, parents, and athletes.
Works directly with Concussion Clinic manager and providers to assist with education, assessment, return-to-sport/recreational activities interfacing with various youth sports organizations and schools.

Serves as central point of contact for the coordination of community health education. + Develops, creates, and plans programs designed to represent the organization favorably to engage and support the community. + Prepares presentations, evaluates opportunities, schedules, and coordinates participation, and maintains calendar of activities to meet organizational objectives.+ Responsible for maintaining documentation of participation, analyzes effectiveness of the program and community benefit on an ongoing basis related to concussion protocols and state concussion legislation.
+ Provides input to department manager regarding annual budgeting planning for items pertaining to individual responsibilities.+ Responsible for monitoring and tracking national trends in concussion education, research, and advancement in concussion legislation to improve health of the community.
+ Ability to adapt and be flexible with schedule, including early morning, evenings and weekends when needed. Meet with participants one-on-one as needed.+ Provides standard care procedures used in emergency situations, performs injury evaluation and assessment of patient's level of function and follows standardized practice in the area of diagnostic reasoning and medical decision making on behalf of athlete.
+ Provide direct patient care through clinical evaluation, physical exam and treatment as directed by the Concussion Clinic physician. + Assist Concussion Clinic physician with establishing and documenting patient's health care plan and progress. + Perform clinical duties or other responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications + Education:
Bachelor's degree + Experience: 2 years relevant experience + Licenses/Certifications: Licensed as a Certified Athletic Trainer the state of practice.
Board of Certification (BOC) certified. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
