Job Summary:

The Director of Emergency Services (Registered Nurse) is accountable for providing leadership to the Emergency Services Departments through the management of clinical, financial, and human resources.

Responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating nursing practice that applies nursing process and supports the mission of Doctors Hospital and Patient Care Services.

Exhibits excellent technical skill, critical thinking, initiative, integrity, accuracy and compassion towards the delivery of quality nursing care in an interdisciplinary practice environment.

Oversees and directs Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Response planning and preparation for the organization.

Qualifications:
Education-*Required: B.A./B.S. in Nursing

*Preferred: MSN and required to be started within 6 months and completed within 2 years from start of program

Experience
*Required: 5+ Years Hospital Clinical and 2-3 Years Management/Leadership Role

Certifications
*Required: Active California R.N. license, Healthcare Provider BLS upon hire, TNCC, ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.

*Preferred: CCRN or CEN preferred.
