    Opportunity:

    Surgical Tech - Radiation Therapist

    Job Details:


    • Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM

    • ASAP start date available

    • Treat patients using various radiation treatment modalities and machines

    • Utilize all treatment set-ups following current protocols

    • Simulate and treat patients according to Radiation Oncologist orders

    • Present field verification films to Radiation Oncologists for set-up verification

    • Adjust treatment fields as directed by Radiation Oncologist

    • Document and follow through on treatment changes and re-filming procedures

    • Perform daily Quality Assurance checks on all treatment and CT machines

    • Communicate equipment problems and issues to physicist, radiation oncologist, and lead radiation therapist

    • Monitor and assess patient responses to treatment

    • Screen patients and direct physical and emotional concerns to appropriate medical staff

    • Guide patients to nursing staff for weekly evaluations

    • Maintain clean and orderly treatment rooms and equipment

    • Perform regular visual preventive safety inspections

    • Report potential safety hazards to Lead Therapist

The facility maintains high standards for patient care and safety protocols, with a multidisciplinary team approach including radiation oncologists, physicists, nurses, and social workers. The department focuses on delivering precise radiation therapy treatments while prioritizing patient comfort and safety through rigorous quality assurance programs.
