- Assists with the provision and reinforcement of patient education according to the plan of care.
- Coordinates with health care team to provide patient care, treatment and services.
- Assists in clerical duties on the unit.
- Perform EKG's, point of care testing and assisting with procedures at the direction of the physician.
- Escorts patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measures vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and documents all information in patient's EHR. Properly utilizes the computer system for patient registration, receiving specimens and daily reports including trouble shooting.
- Provides care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Medical Assistant as well as the provider.
- Other duties as assigned.
