    Marketing Statement

    Under supervision of the Vice President of IT Infrastructure, performs Cisco Voice Engineer duties for Information Systems Management (ISM) Department applications; monitors voice related systems including its network, resolves problems, apply system patches and major upgrades to back-end and front-end applications, and assures the integrity, security, and effective performance of the Philadelphia Housing voice systems. Mentor and provide knowledge transfer as required to network system administrator and network technicians.

    Annual salary $100,000.00

    Qualifications

    Minimum education

    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Networking

    Minimum experience

    Four (4) or more years of voice and networking systems management and implementation experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

    Travel required

    Limited travel to PHA sites as warranted

    Competencies (Skills, knowledge, abilities)

    Previous consulting/professional service experience is a strong desire; Develop and oversee the adherence to maintenance and performance standards of data, voice or video network hardware and systems; Troubleshoot highly complex data, voice or video network and hardware problems.

    Certifications, Licenses required

    A valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Driver's License is required.

    Voice certifications at a professional level evaluates skills. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and knowledge related to the Cisco integrated communications manager is desirable.

    Responsibilities

    Performs capacity planning through the ongoing monitoring, alerting, and reporting of resource utilization levels and errors in the environment using a variety of tools and processes; Builds, maintains, and audits all voice network related documentation as it relates to configuration, processes, service records, asset inventories, topologies, administration manuals, job instructions, support contacts, etc; Plans, designs, and optimizes high level voice, video and network solutions; Implements, supports Cisco Call Manager (CUCM) and Call Manager Express (CME); Installs, Implements and configure UCCE Infrastructure for Enterprise Network; Tests Discipline knowledge, UCCM, and Unity VM; Designs Cisco IPT VoIP design, UCCE design, Cisco voice gateways; Configures and tests Cisco Call Manager and Unity voice mail; Configures and tests Cisco UCCE Web View and CUIS/CUIC; Implements and maintains collaboration security best practices by assessing current threats, vulnerabilities, risks and associated technical countermeasures; Maintains inventories for support and maintenance per location by working with our selected vendors; Researches network availability within data center and disaster recovery data center for redundancy and performance through monitoring, fixing network problems, outages and schedules the routine upgrades.
