    Clinical Registered & Licensed Dietitian (RD, LD) at Nationwide Children's Hospital

    The Clinical RD, LD is in charge of providing nutritional care to pediatric, adolescent, and select adult patients in specific service lines, contributing to the department's goals, and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies. Additionally, they offer health education to medical teams, patients, caregivers, and the community. This role may involve participation in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital committees.

    At Nationwide Children's Hospital, we offer a full-time position in Endocrinology covering both inpatient and outpatient care, with a focus on Diabetes and specialized Endocrinology clinics. Join our team of Endocrinology Dietitians to deliver patient care, engage in quality improvement, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, obtain specialty certification, and more.

    Responsibilities:

    • Initiate and provide comprehensive nutritional care for inpatients and outpatients
    • Complete nutrition screenings and assessments to determine patients' nutrient needs
    • Interpret diet orders based on approved diet manuals
    • Oversee nutrition interventions and department activities
    • Review modified menus for patients
    • Monitor patients' nutrient intake
    • Provide patient education on diets
    • Act as a consultant for nutrition-related inquiries
    • Participate in patient care conferences and rounds
    • Monitor patients receiving enteral nutrition therapy
    • Contribute to departmental goals and educational activities
    • Act as a preceptor to dietetic students
    • Share education on nutrition-related topics with staff
    • Participate in research, quality improvement initiatives, and committees
    • Demonstrate competencies and complete mandatory education
    • Collaborate with Nutrition Services staff
    • Perform other assigned duties

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in nutrition, AND registration, and Ohio Board of Dietetics licensure
    • Experience as a clinical registered & licensed dietitian preferred
    • Analytical and organizational skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Effective interpersonal skills

    Minimum Physical Requirements:
