We're looking for an experienced
Senior Software Engineer
to support our customers and join our passionate team of high-impact problem solvers.
About the role:
Raft is building an AI Battle Management System to operationalize the needs of the war fighter to effectively leverage machine learning models while forward deployed.
We are building a new capability that will heavily leverage Kafka, Kubeflow, and a variety of existing open source tools to enable self-service model retraining and deployment on live exercises.
What you will do :
Architect, develop and implement end-to-end cluster and application lifecyclesWork with clients architecting, developing and implementing Kubernetes or Docker solutions both in the Cloud and on-premisesDevelop and implement CI/CD pipelinesImplement GitOps for Software DeliveryWhat we are looking for :
3+ years of relevant industry experience3+ years' experience with Docker and Kubernetes, provisioning production clusters and maintaining their compliance.
Experience with building and managing data-intensive platforms using popular streaming technologies such as Kafka, Pinot, or FlinkExperience in data management technologies including ETL processing, data governance, and data storageExperience with AWS and/or other cloud computing solutionsExperienced with building, deployment, release automation, or orchestrationExperience with Kubernetes monitoring (i.e. Prometheus, Grafana) and logging (i.e. Fluentbit, Kibana, Loki) solutionsExperience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
Experience with configuring CI/CD pipelines using GitLab RunnersObtain Security+ within the first 90 days of employment with RaftHighly preferred :
Solid understanding of Helm ChartsExperience using a variety of package managers/dependency managers including Maven, Gradle, NPM, and YarnKnowledge of IstioExperience with supporting enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructureExperience in automation languages like Python or GoLangComfortable provisioning and debugging complex CI/CD pipelines

Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
