    Description

    Job Title: Database Engineer at Telarus, LLC

    Company: Telarus, LLC is a Technology Solutions Brokerage company based in Sandy, Utah.


    Telarus, LLC is looking for a skilled Database Engineer to join their Technology group. As a Technology Solutions Brokerage, Telarus enables sales agents to quote and provision various services from over 300 major Telecom and IT providers. In this role, you will collaborate with the Development, Executive, and Business Analytics teams to develop database solutions for different purposes.


    Required Skills:

    • Ability to read and write complex SQL statements, stored procedures, views, and queries.
    • 7+ years of experience with SQL server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or another relational database management system (SQL Server preferred).
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of ETL and reporting systems, including ETL, data warehousing, and data analytics.
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Azure Data Factory or equivalent technology.
    • Strong communication skills; ability to comprehend requests and requirements, translating them into functional queries and reports.
    • Critical thinking ability to identify issues with requests and guide users to resolutions.

    Bonus Skills:

    • Experience with creating and editing Salesforce reports.
    • Experience with data structures and querying within the Salesforce environment.
    • Experience with Azure SQL as a Service, Azure DevOps.
    • Ability to create compelling visualizations with reporting tools, preferably Tableau.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with reporting developers and Executive Management to provide accurate and highly performant datasets for company reporting.
    • Assist in maintaining the reporting database and establish new data structures as required to transition load from transactional server to reporting database.
    • Work with software developers to create complex queries or troubleshoot performance issues.
    • Ensure successful and timely completion of nightly jobs.
    • Engage with outsourced teams and contractors on short- and long-term projects to ensure precise and high-performing deliverables.
