- Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology
- Previous experience in surgery is desirable
- Must meet requirements to practice as a surgical technologist in Massachusetts
- Certification must be obtained within one year of completing the accredited Surgical Technology program
- BCLS certification is mandatory

The OR Surgical Technician is a skilled individual with advanced technical knowledge and expertise in asepsis and the intraoperative phase of surgical patient care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. This role involves providing necessary instrumentation, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures, working under the supervision of the circulating nurse (RN).
Responsibilities include maintaining OR standards for supplies and equipment, fostering relationships with physicians and interdepartmental staff to ensure quality patient care.
