    Job Title: Warehouse Associate

    Summary of the Job Description:

    • This position performs various warehouse operations functions to ensure sales readiness and customer support at Southern States Cooperative.

    1. Maintain regular communication with store leadership for daily assignments, inventory supply, customer orders, showroom appearance, facility maintenance, safety loss prevention other critical factors. Provide prompt courteous customer support assist customers filling orders lifting products loading merchandise into vehicles verify invoices ensuring proper merchandise quantities loaded effectively secure loads. Receive merchandise deliveries according established procedures unload in various forms pallets boxes bulk items utilizing equipment manual lifting as appropriate count verify accuracy delivery comparing purchase orders reviewing shipping documents inspecting items damage defects notifying supervisor immediately errors damage materials product quality issues Safely move throughout warehouse utilizing equipment manual lifting full pallet put-away accurately storing racking designated locations manually stack down mixed sorting storage showroom replenishment Perform recovery facility procedures Reconfigure shelving build endcaps creating displays read interpret merchandising diagrams planograms Deliver bulk packaged merchandise SSC vehicles Fill propane cylinders operate related equipment established safety protocols training licensing requirements Assist physical inventory guidelines Monitor entrances exits promoting security safety minimizing Loss request receipt proof payment escalating potential concerns store leadership Regularly inspect forklifts industrial equipment identifying reporting needs supervisor Maintain general housekeeping duties performing lot display areas neat safe complete paperwork legible organized timely manner Work safely causing harm yourself others property co-workers essential job functions involve variety settings primarily warehouse retail showrooms outdoors where may not protection weather conditions May exposed hazards including drafts temperature changes wet floors hazardous chemicals associated fertilizers crop protectants animal care home care products Merchandise supplies tools sharp edges containing dangerous materials dust odors fumes noise levels hearing optional PPE Plan Schedule requirements vary based location extended hours alternate work schedules required report time adverse weather conditions Ability push pull lift carry pounds unassisted frequently crouch kneel stoop drive motorized feet hands repetitive motion driving motorize occasionally climb sit shovel sweep must hear sounds warehouse pages coworkers radio speak coworkers regarding production specific vision abilities close distance color peripheral depth adjust focus
