    Role Overview

    Under the direction of the Strategic Sourcing Manager, the Procurement Specialist will assist with the procurement process, including contract management, negotiations, sourcing, supplier management, preparation of purchase orders, invoice validation, analytics, and other activities as directed.

    This role reports to Nexus Circulars Strategic Sourcing Manager.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Support daily procurement requests
    Planning, creating, and processing timely requisitions and purchase orders
    Review, manage and track supplier issues/discrepancies
    Create, update, and manage Material List report according to orders received
    Review, track and follow open orders
    Manage Invoice validation process
    Responsible for expediting and monitoring delivery schedules
    Developing strong relationships with key suppliers and measure suppliers performance based on cost, quality, delivery, and service level
    Communicating with suppliers daily and organizing meetings and projects as needed to resolve supply issues
    Working with other internal departments such as finance, sales, and operations to resolve issues and concerns
    Keep track of all inventories on hand
    Resolve any purchase order and invoice issues
    Active participation and contribution to Procurement group
    Other supply chain support as directed


    Minimum Requirements:
    Associates Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field
    Minimum three years experience in procurement


    Desired Skills:
    Demonstrated ability of effective problem solving and strong communication skills
    Ability to work independently as well as in a cross functional team
    Ability to establish and maintain rapport with others, both internally and externally
