    Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Business Management Manager 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Weapon Systems Division
    This leadership role will be responsible for implementing data driven analytics into effective program performance outcomes and will be an integral part of the Business Management leadership team
    The primary location for this position will be in Northridge, CA (No teleworking is available for this position)

    What You'll Get to Do :
    The Business Management Manager 1 will lead all business management activities within the AARGM-ER program area within the Advanced Weapons Business Unit in Weapon Systems Division
    Business Management Manager 1 roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Program resource management, including cost estimation, allocation, tracking, and analysis
    • Preparation and presentation of financial data to internal and external customers, including variance analysis and forecast
    • Compliance and financial reporting in support of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and monthly Indicated Finals (IF)
    • Lead EVMS implementation and oversight with COBRA reporting to satisfy internal/external deliverables.
    • Comprehensive Estimate-at-Complete (CEAC) preparation and review
    • Assistance with contract negotiations
    • Support of pricing and proposal activities
    • Review of contractual documents, including Technical Task Orders
    • Subcontractor invoicing and funding
    • On-going collaboration with the customer and functional teams
    • Management and development of Program Control Analyst (PCA) staff

    Basic Qualifications:
    To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

    • This position emphasizes skills and experience

    Will consider one of following:

    High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years' experience in Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics or professional industry related experience, 6 years with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics or professional industry related experience - OR - a Master's degree with 4 years of professional industry related experience.


    • Prior experience in DoD finance, accounting and program control
    • Working level knowledge and fluency with COBRA
    • Prior experience with the complete contract life cycle of Earned Value Management (EVM) implementation on major Department of Defense Programs
    • Experience with EV monthly performance analysis ability to apply them to multiple contracts, CLINs and control accounts
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Costpoint
    • Prior experience in a DoD Program Control Environment - setting up cost control system, and monitoring costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system
    • Prior experience preparing and presenting financial analysis to team and/or management
    • Be able to work on-site at our NG Northridge, CA facility

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

    • Experience with Data Science applications on DOD programs
    • Life cycle cost modeling for DOD ACAT programs
    • MBA certification
    • Previous experience managing/supervising program, project, or personnel
    This may be a lead position on a team.

    • Understanding of DOD contracts, government Cost Accounting Standards, and the FAR

    Salary Range:
    $104,600 - $156,800 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions
    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay
    Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results
    Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives
