Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components, including engines, transmissions, powertrain systems, and diesel engines.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive service tools to complete repairs efficiently.
- Execute wheel alignments and wheel balancing to ensure optimal vehicle handling and safety standards.
- Repair or replace ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) components and calibrate sensors for modern vehicles.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or extensive automotive service technician background with a strong mechanical foundation.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of many makes/models and familiarity with diesel engine repair is a plus.
- Skilled in vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmission servicing, and powertrain diagnostics.
- Experience working with automotive electrical systems, ADAS calibration, wheel alignment, and auto estimating software.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools.
- Service technician experience demonstrating the ability to handle complex repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
