    We are looking for highly trainable potential Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician.

    What is a Behavior Technician/ Registered Behavior Technician?

    Behavior Technician/ Registered Behavior Technician provides 1:
    1 direct services to children and young adults with autism spectrum disorders using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Direct Interventionists are trained in ABA principles and teaching strategies, both through an online training series and on-the-job.

    All Direct Interventionists work under the supervision of SVABA's clinical staff, which generally consists of a program supervisor and a clinical manager.

    The clinical staff develop the programs and train Behavior Technicians to follow the program. Services generally take place in the child's home, clinic and/or in the community.


    Senior Behavior Technician assists in planning, developing, and monitoring a variety of behavioral support service delivery options to meet the needs of clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges.

    • Implementing skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs developed by the clinical team
    • Interacting with family/caregivers
    • Collecting accurate data and writing session note
    • Senior Behavior Technician assists in performing initial assessments of children with autism spectrum disorders to determine eligibility and appropriateness for on-going services.
    • Senior Behavior Technician provides support to Junior Behavior Technician and support to clinical supervisors to maintain high treatment integrity.

    • Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, twisting in order to observe, assess, and interact with infants/toddlers
    • Frequent speaking and listening to clients, staff, and other professionals in meetings and on the phone
    • Occasional walking to, bending to enter, sitting, and using upper and lower limbs to drive car to and from home visits and meetings
    • Occasional sitting and maintaining close visual attention to write reports and work at the computer
    • Occasional lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading toys and materials used in home visits
