    Description

    Position Purpose

    Following established policies and procedures, performs and records ultrasound diagnostic tests of patients' pelvic, abdominal and arterial and vascular areas.

    What you will do

    • Obtains information about internal organs, fluid accumulations, blood flow, masses or development of fetuses for use in diagnosis of disease, study of malfunction of organs, prenatal examination of fetuses and placenta.
    • Ensures ultrasound tests are of high quality and records results.
    • Assists physicians in carrying out examinations, consultations, sterile procedures.
    • Performs general clerical duties such as report filing and distribution, answering telephones, taking and relaying messages, photocopying materials.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Education: Work requires the level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of an Associate's degree program in US Technology plus 3 months or less of on-the-job training and orientation.
    • Licensure: ARDMS Registered Abd/Pelvis preferred. May be required to become registered in multiple modalities.
    • Certification: Registry eligible required. A.R.R.T. registration within a year of hire.
