- Serves as communication resource and coordinator of information for patients, families, visitors and members of the health care team
- The Patient Information Coordinator handles all non-clinical administrative aspects of the patient care unit
- Performs clerical and support duties necessary to prepare and maintain inpatient and outpatient medical records
- Performs a variety of integral activities to assist medical, nursing and administrative staff to meet unit, department, and institutional needs
- Offers friendly and courteous assistance to every patient, their families, and health care team members to ensure a collaborative environment in which patients may have a positive experience while at Johns Hopkins
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of related experience
