    Job Summary: Cleans and supplies patient rooms, wards, nursing stations, lounges, bathrooms, offices, and any other areas, as assigned to the Housekeeping Department as required. Provides assistance to Supervisors and Management Staff with the work performed by employees to ensure the established standards are met. Assists with meeting customer requirements, even when outside typical areas of responsibility. Maintains a high level of productivity while working safely and dependably. Works effectively with other team members and continues to improve and develop skills and knowledge.

    Essential Functions:
    • Schedule for this position is for 2nd Shift - Full Time Monday - Friday, with rotating weekends, holidays, and shifts required.
    • Hourly pay rate is $18.38 per hour.
    • Assists with ensuring all employees have adequate supplies and equipment to perform their job tasks and requirements.
    • Responsible for cleaning and disinfection in the hospital and outlying clinics.
    • Accountable for accurately maintaining all appropriate logs and check list.
    • Adheres to all organization safety, risk management and infection control standards while promoting a culture of safety.
    • Must be able to pass a Driver Motor Vehicle (DMV) background check to operate company vehicles.
    • Performs duties while demonstrating working knowledge of the health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements, proper and safe chemical use, equipment handling, and labor saving products for all items within the environment tasked with servicing.
    • Carries after hour's phone daily to include weekends and holidays and respond to customer request in timely manner.
    • Ensures Quality Assurance's (QA's) are distributed and completed daily to include weekends and holidays.
    • Assists supervisory /management staff with training and or retraining of new and existing employees on job tasks and requirements.
    • Utilize company provided email by checking and responding daily.
    • Complete required training as assigned.
    • Demonstrates proper techniques to perform specific tasks.
    • May be assigned to an area within the hospital and outlying clinic at the discretion of management and operational needs.
    • Ensures the supply room is clean and shelves are organized prior to end of shift.
    • Maintains supplies and equipment by properly stocking and restocking environmental services cart in a neat and orderly fashion.
    • Required to sign for QA's in the absence of management to include weekends and holidays.
    • Follow all infection prevention practices (i.e proper cleaning process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions where and if required and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Punctual and regular attendance is required.
    • Recognizes and adheres to patient privacy requirements (HIPPA).
    • Ensures that supplies are put up prior to end of shift.
    • Adheres to all Job Options and CBA policies and procedures. As well as report violations to management as needed.
    • Assign and direct work and other tasks as needed at the discretion of management.
    • All other related duties as assigned.

    $250 after completion of 30 days, $250 after completion of 180 days, $500 after completion of 1 year anniversary

    Requirements
    • (Internal applicants) No active disciplinary action on file within the last 12 months.
    • HS Diploma or GED, or equivalent.
    • 6 to 12 months documented experience as a Housekeeper, Floor Technician or equivalent.
    • Working knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals and equipment, safety practices as related to Housekeeping/Janitorial Industry.
    • Ability to read, write and speak English.
    • Ability to read and understand service requests, container labels, product information, and directions on cleaning chemicals and other materials.
    • Must initially pass pre- employment physical, and annual physical thereafter.
    • Must pass NCIC-III background check yearly review.
