    World Wide Technology, Inc. has an opportunity available for an Network Engineer.

    As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for creating Design Guides, Position Statements, Process Guides, Reference Diagrams, and Print Templates essential for the effective delivery and troubleshooting of substation and VPN solutions. Your role will involve designing diagrams, validating designs, defining and documenting technical requirements for new capabilities, and collaborating with business partners and equipment providers to build and certify solutions aligned with functional, operational, and business objectives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop Design Guides, Position Statements, Process Guides, Reference Diagrams, and Print Templates for substation and VPN solutions.
    • Design and validate network diagrams to ensure alignment with technical requirements.
    • Collaborate with business partners and equipment providers to build and certify solutions meeting functional, operational, and business objectives.
    • Develop proposals and communicate outcomes addressing business value/risk to gain partner approval.
    • Collaborate across the IT organization to influence and define best methods and procedures for service positioning.
    • Troubleshoot complex routing designs, LAN switching environments, VPNs, and firewall policies.
    • Work in an Agile engineering environment on cross-team projects and assignments.
    • Participate in weekly team collaboration and Telecom TRIP calls to provide/solicit feedback on new solutions or challenges.
    • Foster positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities.
    • Maintain accurate records and files to support effective communication and documentation.
    • Support the company's goals and represent the company positively and professionally.
    • Manage personal self-development and stay current with industry knowledge to leverage more effective or emerging technologies.
    • Provide mentoring and training to junior staff. Basic/Required Qualifications:
    • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer.
    • Solid experience with BGP and MPLS.
    • Experience with Cisco products.
    • Experience Route and Switch, wireless controllers, firewalls, and other network hardware/software solutions.
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (or equivalent experience).
    • Experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work well within a team and coordinate with multiple groups simultaneously.
    • Ability to work productively with little direct supervision.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Adherence to Change Management Practices. Desired Qualifications:
    • Cisco Certifications is nice to have.
    • Agile experience with either Kanban or Scrum Master.
    • Advanced working experience with network technologies and protocols.
    • Datacenter experience with technologies like ACI and OTV.
    • Experience leading key network projects and designing communications solutions for SCADA systems.
    • Proficiency in Python, shell scripts, RESTful APIs, Ansible automation, etc.
    • Experience navigating process-oriented workflows and building strong working relationships.
