PURPOSE
The Business Development Strategist is a key player in driving the Tribe's business expansion by identifying and pursuing high-value business opportunities. This position leverages analytical skills and market knowledge to develop winning strategies, build strong relationships, and contribute to the successful execution of growth initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Conduct in-depth market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and potential new markets.
• Develop comprehensive business development plans that outline market opportunities, target customer segments, and go-to-market strategies.
• Evaluate the feasibility and profitability of new business ventures through financial modeling and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, product) to develop and execute strategic initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential partners, industry influencers, and clients.
• Negotiate and structure win-win partnerships and deals that align with company objectives.
• Track and analyze market trends, sales performance, and customer data to measure the effectiveness of business development strategies.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear and compelling manner.
NECESSARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
• Proven track record of identifying and successfully pursuing new business opportunities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and present persuasive business cases.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and data analysis tools is a plus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (education, experience, skills)
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related degree.
• 5 years of experience in business development, strategy consulting, or a similar role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (education, experience, skills)
• Graduate degree preferred in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related degree
UNUSUAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OR RESTRICTIONS
Most of the work is performed in a professional office setting and is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items weighing less than 40 lbs. Travel on small aircraft or ferry may be required.
