    Position Summary:


    The Adjunct Faculty to teach DIVI 5500: Relational Skills for Christian Leaders in summer 2024 and DIVI 5400: Pastoral Care fall 2024.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Teach effectively in an online environment.
    • Develop and manage course materials from learning objectives and selected textbook
    • Administer tests, assignments and other exercises that permit measurement of knowledge, abilities, and/or performance relative to the course learning objectives
    • Post grades on the Blackboard Grade Center and well as Campbell's Self Service portal
    • Maintain timely communications with students and staff at all times
    • Interact with students in a positive manner, listen effectively, field questions pertaining to subject matter
    • Assess participation and performance of students within the classroom
    • Evaluate student work on out of class assignments
    • Administer exams according to university guidelines
    • Complete student record keeping in a timely and accurate manner
    • Exercise independent judgment and maintain strict confidentiality
    • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
    • Uphold and abide by Campbell University policies and procedures, including, but not limited to; Title IX (HIPAA if applicable) and FERPA guidelines
    • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice

    Education/Experience:

    • A doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or related field from a regionally accredited school or school accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada required
    • A Master of Divinity degree or other professional master-level degree from a school accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada required
    • Demonstrated abilities for working in an academic setting is preferred

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
    • Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion in dealing with trustees, faculty, staff, students, university officials and the public
    • Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people.
    • This position demands accuracy, honesty, integrity and the ability to work within the Christian mission of Campbell University
