    Description


    Raye IT is looking for an innovative and experienced Cloud Engineer to support a federal client within the Washington, D.C.

    area.

    Responsibilities


    Design, testing, administration, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks to include vessels, aircraft, and shore networks.

    Automate the provisioning and managing of Infrastructure resources required for the project.

    Perform duties associated with the design, testing and implementation of Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks.

    Provide technical support related to LAN/WAN activities and end user needs. Must be experienced in the design and integration of multiple network operating systems, protocols and topologies.

    Develop standardized procedures for LAN/WAN operation and associated documentation.

    Evaluate new technology and makes recommendations for implementation.

    Analyze requirements for system upgrades and implementations including hardware/software resources, logistics and planning issues, testing and training.

    Plan and to direct the activities of other engineers and technicians.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related field.

    8+ years of Cloud engineering experience


    5 years of Enterprise Data Management (EDW) experience in administering and provisioning Database servers, data backup and recovery procedures, auditing etc using On-prem or Cloud products.

    (Highly preferred)

    Able to use Terraform at mid to senior level to build cloud infrastructure.


    3+ years of experience using Azure cloud services in provisioning and administrating services such as Azure Data factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Analysis services and Azure Active directory.

    Continuous integration, test automation and / or DevSecOps on iterative development projects.


    Assist with leading and overseeing a total system perspective including technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of cloud, on premise, and hybrid services, infrastructure and security domains.


    Preferred:
    Azure administration Certification.
