    We are a 202-bed acute care hospital accredited by The Joint Commission that offers a wide range of medical services including 24/7 emergency care, cardiology, wound care, surgical services, cardiac catheterization, and imaging.

    The hospital is the only Certified Stroke Center, Accredited Chest Pain Center, and Labor and Delivery Unit in the area.

    In addition, Dallas Regional is the only Trauma Center for 13 miles and was the first Accredited Geriatric Emergency Room in Dallas County.

    The hospital is a recipient of Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Awards, 15 Healthgrades Five-Star ratings over the past three years, and Straight A Hospital Safety Grades from The Leapfrog Group since 2018.

    Responsibilities

    Dallas Regional Medical Center is looking for an exceptionalfull time, night shiftLicensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Definitive Observation Unit (intermediate care/telemetry).

    This unit primarily cares for cardiac and neurological diagnosis patients and all of our patients are on cardiac monitoring.

    Our LVN duties include, but are not limited to:


    • cardiac maintenance or titratable drip care
    • provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care
    • meet the communication needs of the patient and family
    • communicate to the RN about changes in patients' clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring and results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology
    • able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment
    • performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
    Qualifications

    Education and Work Experience


    • current and valid Texas state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
    • current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
    • ACLS (AHA), preferred
    • IV certification, required
    • one year experience in an applicable setting, preferred
