    Our client, a PE-backed telecom provider, is hiring for a Project Controller. The business has strong positioning as #2 in their regional industry. Growth will continue bothorganically and through select acquisitions.

    This position offers internal growth options as well as exposure to a large portfolio of advancement opportunities through the private equity sponsors.

    As controller, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring effective oversight of Federal Grants project details. Including financial management, compliance, and reporting. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, a thorough understanding of federal grant regulations, and strong analytical skills.

    You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure adherence to grant requirements, optimize financial processes, and support the project's success.

    Requirements

    Bachelor's in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred. Equivalent experience accepted.
    6+ years in financial regulations, accounting, and project management.
    Must have federal grants experience.
    Proficient in interpreting financial data and recommending improvements.
    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, adept at managing multiple tasks.
    Skilled in financial software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems); Workday/Adaptive Planning experience a plus.
    Familiarity with project management software is advantageous.
    Effective communication and collaboration across diverse stakeholders.
    Proactive mindset, committed to continuous improvement and excellence.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Responsibilities

    Prepare timely, compliant financial reports for federal agencies.
    Maintain organized documentation of financial transactions in line with grant regulations.
    Assist in grant proposal preparation and budget documents.
    Generate ad-hoc reports for decision-making and financial insights.

    Stakeholder Communication:
    Act as main contact for financial inquiries, internally and externally.
    Collaborate with teams and auditors to address financial matters.
    Provide guidance and training on grant compliance as needed.
    $70,000 - $110,000 a year
