Description

Set up and operate all auxiliary equipment. Ability to set up pallet configurations for the robot, perform maintenance of all delivery equipment. Assist in manual and machine tasks in make ready, maintenance, and operation of press to provide a product which meets customer quality and time requirements while meeting company profitability requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Read and understand job ticket.
2. Complete OJT training with the robotics and continue to follow procedures.
3. Set up and operate all auxiliary equipment with the focus being the robotics and all post press delivery systems.
4. Troubleshoot computer and mechanical issues with reacting quickly in a very fast-paced environment.
5. Assist with folder and help with make ready and startup.
6. Monitor trims and perfs throughout run when used.
7. Perform quality control of signatures off press (checking for hickeys, toning, crossovers, proper lap positions, etc)
8. Communicate with next shift about status of job(s) and any special instructions.
9. Responsible to handle hazardous waste in a safe manner by following the safety procedures.
10. Follow set team procedures and processes.
11. Understand and use TPM (total productive maintenance) and QCO (quick change over) methods.
12. Attend and participate in team meetings.
13. Complete other tasks as requested by Leader/Shift Leader.

Requirements

Skills Abilities Required:

1. High School education or beyond.
2. Good mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
3. Ability to set up and operate all auxiliary equipment.
4. Good computer skills.
5. Good communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
6. Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
7. Good math skills.
8. Physical effort - refer to physical demand analysis.
