- Perform intricate tasks related to operating Computed Tomography, X-ray, and associated equipment to generate specialized images of specific body parts.
- Implement radiation safety measures and protective devices to adhere to government regulations and ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Obtain detailed and precise patient medical histories and communicate with the Radiologist when necessary.
- Evaluate patients for CT contrast safety before conducting procedures.
- Explain procedures to patients and monitor them to ensure a safe and comfortable examination experience.
- Collaborate with clerical staff and other technologists.
- Initiate I.V's and administer contrast media following directives and protocols.
- Monitor patients' conditions and responses, informing the physician of any abnormal signs.
- Provide laboratory care for patients of all age groups utilizing laboratory processes.
- Foster positive relationships with colleagues and other departments to deliver top-quality outcomes within the realm of professional laboratory practice.
- Conduct waived and moderate complexity manual and automated testing.
- Independently carry out a wide array of laboratory procedures in Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Immunology, and Coagulation.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting for all laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to proper patient identifiers when collecting and/or processing specimens for the laboratory.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology technologist program.
- Preferred 2+ years of Radiologic/Imaging and CT experience.
- Preferred 1+ years of previous Emergency Room and Laboratory experience.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment is desirable.
- Current ARRT and TDH license required.
- Computed Tomography registration preferred.

About the Position
Responsible for conducting various imaging procedures ensuring patient safety protocols. Acts as the primary point of contact with customers to meet their imaging needs successfully. Engages in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities. Radiology/CT Techs at our Free-Standing ERs are skilled in laboratory functions and often assist in conducting diverse laboratory tests. Competency will be upheld in alignment with criteria established by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
