    This position is located in Kerrville, TX.

    The Ultrasound Tech works under the supervision of the radiologists and management team to acquire diagnostic images for interpretation; assists with invasive procedures as requested.

    Currently offering a $10,000 sign on bonus for full time Ultrasound Techs.


    Required Education:
    Associates in Radiologic Science and/or Registry from ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI


    Preferred Education:
    Bachelors of Science


    Required Technical Skills:

    • Excellent organizational, interpersonal relationship, decision making and patient care skills.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, positioning, techniques, and both radiation protection and safety.
    • Knowledge of ultrasound physics.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology.
    • Ability to determine correct probe utilization and placement for optimal imaging.
    • Ability to examine images for the purpose of evaluation of techniques, positions, and other related qualities.
    • Ability to position patient and adjust equipment to produce desired or optimum image of desired anatomy.
    • Skill in safe and efficient operation of imaging equipment.
    • Ability to deviate from normal techniques when necessary to develop new and better techniques to keep the department up to date.
    • Ability to determine proper protocols to achieve optimum diagnostic images with high degree of efficiency.

    Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:

    One of the following:
    ARRT, ARDMS, or CCI registered. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer. Must have Adult General and Vascular certifications. Must have BLS CPR.


    PreferredLicensure/Registration/Certification :

    Multiple modality registry in abdomen, OB, and breast


    Required Experience:
    One year experience as an ultrasound technologist


    Preferred Experience:
    Two years experience as an ultrasound technologist
