- M.D. or D.O. degree, or foreign equivalent
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatrics Residency Program
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Program
- Texas medical license or eligibility for licensure in the State of Texas
- Board Certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Experience in teaching Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine to medical students and residents in clinical and classroom settings
- Experience with organizing and leading neonatal critical care transport services
- Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher
