- Plans, schedules, and coordinates detailed phases of a project.
- Devises new approaches to problems encountered.
- Performs work which involves conventional engineering practices and standards, but includes a variety of complex features, such as conflicting design requirements, non-standard tools, materials, or equipment and difficult coordination requirements.
- Participates in creation and evaluation of new product test requirements, test strategies and provides estimates for new test equipment.
- U.S. bachelor's degree in arts/sciences or international equivalent in technical/science.
- 2-5 years professional engineering experience or a combination of experience and advanced degree required.
- Six Sigma Greenbelt training preferred.
- Professional certifications National Instruments LabView, Test Stand Certificate preferred.
- Advanced engineering knowledge; complete understanding of component function and testing requirements. Understands manufacturing processes, drawings, and standards. Fully understands a system and its components. Experience in a (NPI) new product, introduction environment or in a research and development environment.
- Advanced written/verbal communication skills and presentation skills; solid technical writing skills (procedures, reports, etc.)
- Advanced problem solving & troubleshooting skills and analytical calculation skills.
- Ability to effectively operate in the project team environment and communicate with customers.
- Participates in setting technical direction.
