    The UNC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology/Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) has an opening for a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Genetic Counselor to begin working as soon as available.

    You will join a team of 6 genetic counselors, 2 Maternal-Fetal Medicine/Geneticists, and 15 MFM specialists. Your charge will be to provide comprehensive reproductive genetic counseling services. Current practice locations include the NC Women's Hospital, UNC MFM at Vilcom (both in Chapel Hill), UNC MFM at Duraleigh (in Raleigh) and Moore Regional Hospital (in Pinehurst). You will be actively involved in caring for patients as part of the UNC Center for Maternal and Infant Health ( as well as the UNC Fetal Care Center (

    This position includes supervision/teaching of medical students, residents, Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellows, genetic counseling students, and other learners. Opportunities for research and professional growth are plentiful.

    Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

    The successful applicant will hold a Master's degree in Genetic Counseling and be a BC/BE Genetic Counselor. Must possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and have an interest in working in an academic setting with trainees. Must be comfortable and efficient working in a busy prenatal clinic setting.

    Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:
