Key Responsibilities:
Develop innovative and cost-effective
design solutions that exceed client expectations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for
clients, managing communication and spearheading project approvals with
public agencies.
Actively participate in business
development activities, including lead
and proposal
preparation.
Oversee administrative and financial
aspects of projects, including invoicing, budget monitoring, and timecard
approvals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop project schedules and coordinate
workflow for the engineering team in collaboration with the Senior Project
Manager.
Supervise the preparation of plans,
technical reports, cost estimates, and other client deliverables, ensuring
high quality, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to agency and client
standards.
Lead project approvals by managing
communication with agencies, resolving design issues, and ensuring
compliance with requirements.
Oversee and manage relationships with
external consultants and internal departments involved in the project.
Conduct site investigations and research
for proposals, designs, and marketing materials.
Perform site visits during construction
to monitor plan adherence, address discrepancies, and respond to RFIs.
Forecast workload and communicate
resource needs to the Senior Project Manager.
Conduct staff reviews, providing coaching
and training to team members.
Ensure accurate allocation of project
time and timely submission of timecards.
Track project budgets, prepare billing
instructions, and submit change order requests when required.
Champion innovative ideas and procedures,
promoting "Full Circle Thinking" within the team.
Represent in meetings with clients
and agencies.
Attend industry seminars and classes,
sharing key takeaways for continuous improvement.
Maintain regular attendance and
punctuality.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the Principal or
Senior Project Manager, supervise 1-5 employees within the Engineering
Team.
Conduct interviews, provide training,
assign work, evaluate performance, and manage employee relations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil
Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university.
Minimum 10 years of civil engineering
design experience, with a minimum 3 years leading and supervising a design
team.
Proven track record of successfully
managing projects from start to finish.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making,
communication, and team-building skills.
EIT certification required. PE license or
the ability to obtain a PE license within two years of hire/promotion is
mandatory.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
software is a plus.
