This is a 13-week contract position.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled nursing professional for a position in Recovery. The role requires proficiency in Pre-op and Recovery, including the ability to insert IVs. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 2:1 during recovery phases, ensuring that one patient is awake. The nurse will also be responsible for the admission and recovery of 10-12 patients per shift.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care in the Recovery phase for patients.
Ensure effective patient monitoring and management.
Administer IVs and prepare patients pre-operatively.
Maintain accurate medical charts using the EPIC charting system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferred but not required.
BLS Certification.
CGRN certification is preferred but not required.
