Job Description:
Fill prescription orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision. Accurately count medications using manual processes. Creating an emotional connection with agents, understanding their needs, and providing necessary information.
Responsibilities:
· Fill prescription orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision.
· Repackage medications into different formats (e.g., bingo cards) to meet customer needs
· Operate packaging automation equipment
· Ensure accuracy of repackaged medications through pharmacist verification
· Assist in scanning and labelling medication orders.
· Review orders for special instructions and include necessary paperwork and supplies.
· Adhere to Pharmacy Tech protocol, annually sign off on guidelines.
· Replenish stock and maintain pill counting equipment.
· Manage inventory, SOX documentation, purchasing, receiving, and reconciliation.
· Maintain proper stock levels at pharmacy pick stations.
· Order shipping supplies and organize back stock refrigerators.
· Assist Operations Assistants with packing supplies and station stocking.
· Assist in inventory receiving, posting, put-away, and cycle counting.
· Monitor and remove short-dated or expired products from active inventory.
· Perform Operations Assistant duties (packing, shipping, cleaning) 10-20% of the workday/as needed.
Experience:
· Must have a Pharmacy Tech License
· Submit a copy of certification with the resume.
· Clear and effective communication skills.
· Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
· Proficient in mathematical concepts related to inventory.
· Basic typing and data entry skills.
· Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
· At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician
· Advanced computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet utilization
· Minimum of 1 year experience required in a retail, hospital, specialty, mail order, or long-term care pharmacy.
Education:
· Verifiable High School diploma or GED required.
