Jurni Design Group is looking to expand its staff with the addition of an experienced Civil, Structural, Architectural (CSA) designer. Individuals will preferably have 3 years minimum experience in the field of industrial or commercial projects working as a CSA designer or similar. The role focuses on the use of both Revit and Auto CAD for drawing creation, therefore the ideal candidate will have in-depth professional experience in both platforms.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside other project team members to develop construction documents for industrial projects focused in the food and beverage industry and commercial projects focused in the warehousing and storage industry. The Designer II role requires individuals to bring projects to life by developing all phases of design documents (SD, DD, CD, and CA). Communication with team members internally as well as clients externally will be equally important. The individual will have the opportunity to transform customers' problems into purposefully designed solutions working with other engineers and architects forming a comprehensive team.

Job Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To

• Accurate Drawing/Model creation using 2D and 3D platforms
• Specification development
• Use experience to independently identify and resolve challenges with support of team leads
• Independently develop rough concepts into useable schematic designs to further develop with support of team leads.
• Execute site visits independently or with other team members to meet with customers and collect information related to new or ongoing projects – occasional travel required
• Conduct building code analysis of new projects to develop and finalize project layout and identify code issues to EOR/AOR
• Develop design options and alternates
• Gain experience in evaluating client needs, building code, zoning, and regulations to develop design recommendations.
• Coordinate projects through permitting process with local authorities
• Work with multi-discipline team to provide overall coordination of all disciplines on projects utilizing both in-house and subconsultant resources.

Job Requirements

• Highschool Diploma
• Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years professional experience as designer in related field
• Familiarity with traditional types of building systems used in industrial projects along with associated industry standard details and specifications.
• Highly skilled in Revit and proficient in Auto CAD
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Degree in drafting/design, civil engineering, architecture will be considered where experience doesn't meet minimum.
• Design experience in food and beverage, cold storage, or warehousing industry preferred
