Job summary
An Employment Support Specialist (Job Coach) provides one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities as they explore, secure, and succeed in competitive, integrated employment.
Responsibilities
- Meeting clients in their homes and community to build trust and connection
- Conducting career assessments that focus on individual strengths, skills, interests
- Helping develop or revise resumes practice interviews identify job leads
- Sometimes travel may require reimbursement of mileage for use of personal vehicle.
- Career assessments help identify students' goals for future education training or careers. Helps them choose classes electives internships co-op experiences relevant to their goals. Assists them in achieving these goals by teaching time management study skills stress reduction techniques etc..
- This role includes working at Dungarvin's main office located in Coon Rapids Minnesota as well as providing services within the Anoka County area including accompanying individuals to appointments meetings etc..
- A valid driver's license current auto liability insurance computer skills required for documentation good communication reading writing skills necessary for documenting care following support plans collaborating with internal external team members fluency ASL Spanish Hmong Somali Oromo preferred.
