Job DescriptionJob Summary:
As an Agency Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will provide advanced nursing care to individuals with complex medical, mental health, and/or behavioral health issues at our client's maximum security unit. Your responsibilities include performing nursing tasks, instructing staff, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
● Perform advanced vocational nursing work
● Provide care, treatment, and general welfare of individuals with complex medical, mental health, and/or behavioral health issues
● Collect specimens for lab work and perform health screenings
● Instruct staff on providing service and care supporting individual's medical needs
● Perform technical nursing procedures according to regulations
● Provide on-the-job training to new LVNs and direct care staff
● Monitor and assign work to psychiatric nursing assistants
● Evaluate nursing intervention outcomes and provide input to healthcare team
● Assist with implementation of protocols, procedures, and programs to improve health and safety
Schedule and Shift Details
● Shifts are from 3PM-11PM and 11PM-7AM
What you need to know:
No requested time off will be approved at this time (can be discussed)
Must have valid photo ID and current American Heart Association CPR certification
Must have negative PPD results within last 12 months
COVID-19 testing with negative result required (test provided) - COVID-19 Vaccination card if applicable
Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check
Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (client provides)
